The specialist can then give you a food allergy diagnosis to determine if you are, in fact, allergic to wheat.
The test is good in other ways also because if you have an allergy to wheat, you likely have other allergies as well. As long as you are being allergy tested you may as well test for all of your allergies.
If you do suffer from wheat allergy symptoms, you should experiment with eliminating wheat from your diet. But, it is won't be easy to avoid these foods since many unsuspecting products contain wheat. A dietician,however, may be able to help you to come up with a wheat free diet.
