The Acne Diet

We all understand that acne can be a traumatic for your self confidence but you can't let this skin disorder take over your life. Proper skin care is important but what is even more important is the foods that you put inside your body. To begin to rid yourself of acne, you'll need to go on an acne diet.

An acne diet pertains to what you consume and how it affects your skin. I recall a few winters ago I was sitting in the doctor's office with my wife. She was there for a back pain assessment. I had severely chapped lips at the time and asked her if she had some lip balm in her purse. The doctor looked at me with a smirk and said, "You know, the condition of your lips actually relates to your diet." Huh? She informed me that consuming the proper nutrients and fluids on a regular basis would prevent my lips from being chapped. This baffled me.

So what is an acne diet? It's definitely not fast foods or foods loaded with fat and grease.

Acne diets consist of foods that are great for your skin including:

• fruits and vegetables

• non-processed items
• water.

If pimples are giving you trouble, you should definitely try the acne diet. An acne diet will not only help you to rid yourself of acne, it will also help to improve your health.
